Hematite
Hematite is a mineral form of iron oxide(Fe2O3) with weak magnetic. Hematite is colored black to steel or gray-sliver or red. It is mined as main of iron ore.
The common beneficiation method of hematite is strong magnetic separation and gravity separation. Gravity Separation is widely used for upgrading hematite with its low-cost and high beneficiation efficiency in industrial application.
Hematite Beneficiaton Process
Gravity separation works on basic of density(specific gravity) difference between hematite ore and impurities . Different density of minerals in the ups and downs of water flow has been rushed and settled. The hematite ore with bigger density will go down to be discharged from the down discharging port while impurities with smaller density will flow together with flow-waters and be discharged from the up discharging port.
Before separating out the impurities to upgrade the hematite ore, much preparation will be needed. Crushing is used for liberating hematite ore from the impurities. Screening is used for getting the appropriate feeding size.
